So my friend told me his first assignment in a class I took 2 semesters ago is to make a sprite to represent themselves
Which we totally didn’t do when I took the class
So I made this Thorsassin Bunny and I’m gonna tell him to give it to the professor for me
I have no life
(and then halfway into the pixel bun I realised that it didn’t have to be pixel art since there’s no way a bunch of compsci students can churn out a spritesheet for 6 animation states with pixel precision at this size over one weekend which is the actual assignment so I really could’ve done it in vector and saved a lot of trouble but oh well)
Whoop, hopefully not too late for witch week.
My witchsona, the “mathemagician”, derives her power from muscles and mathematics. She integrates her power over the volume of her biceps which allows her to change variables and constants from the equations governing her surroundings. Her familiar is an angry blob bunny, and she does not need a broom to fly for she can just set her surrounding gravity to 0.
Extended backstory with detailed explanation here. (warning: it’s long and my writing sucks. Enter at own risk)
Inspired by this post.
We have Shao Jun already and Shao Jun is perf, but I wanted to design my own Chinese Assassin robes different from hers (think of it for myself, as a Chinese person). Jun uses the qipao type buttons, so I thought I’d go hanfu to be different from hers. Please do not conflate hanfu with kimono. The are not the same.
I debated whether to go with a more colorful outfit and a hat from those wuxia movies they use when doing night stealth work, but in the end, the iconic white-robe and hood Assassin look won out. I figured the red would offset the otherwise all-white outfit since all white is usually reserved for mourning, but the red should indicate otherwise and xiao long nv does exist soooo
I went with a 4-slit version of the hanfu skirt, so that when not doing high profile jumping on roof things, the Assassin in question can pass for a normal-looking person. I made it extra flowy so that the slits can be disguised as extra creases. The hood should be able to be folded and stuffed into the high collar, and the arm wraps up the flowy sleeves so that it doesn’t get in the way in combat but when you need a more low-profile look, it’s there, and the hidden blades actually go under that sleeve. You can probably stuff the shoulder plates under the skirt somewhere or something or stuff it down your shirt. The scarf can be used to hide your face further during misson time or used as a wrap in low profile. It’s supposed to be able to go into something similar to Aveline’s lady persona just with slight modifications, as indicated by the doodles around.
Also, boot hidden blade is a must. Too cool not to include. Throwing needles can go in the belt. Plenty of room in there.
Might do a heavy armor version at a later date.
"Oh sorry, didn’t notice you there." said Hjordis as she casually slung her axe across her shoulder after a spectacular beheading of the last remaining nearby Risen. "How could I be of service?"
((Mainly made this so I can join ameliathetactician in her shenanigans, but anyone welcome. Don’t expect me to do massive paragraph RPs, or at least not regularly. I’ll be mostly using a more or less hastily-drawn pictures than the one above. Hjordis here is a tactican, yes—-just one that fights on a wyvern and swings around a big-ass axe.))
Anyway, askbox should be open. Have fun.
Coloured the dragonlord avatar design from earlier for my ask/rp blog. Made one since a couple of my friends have one and it seems fun. Can’t hurt, right?
I should do a digital version of this with better poses but for now you get my poorly-proportioned 4am doodles of my FE13 MU in her 3 most commonly-used classes: Wyvern Lord, Great Knight, Hero.
I use build 3 hair 4 face 2 hair color 9 voice 3 +Str -Res (reason why I draw her buff: that +4 str modifier is no joke) for my standard MU settings, and even though I do experiment with other MUs for subsequent runs, I do my first run of each difficulty setting with her. Haven’t done L+ yet, but it’ll come soon.
Gave my ladies pants because fuck battle miniskirts and battle panties (Great Knight are you fucking kidding me). Skirts aren’t that big of a deal on a foot unit like Hero, but I prefer pants anyway. On the mounts? No chafe, thank you.
I redesigned Kjelle. She’s one of my favs in FE13, and it always bothered me that she’s described in-text as muscular, yet her character art is a stick. To add insult to injury, I looked up the FE13 femKnight class design, and those are actually decently bulky. Wish FE had better female body diversity, but aside from the occasional Echidna and Meg and sorta Flavia (she’s muscular but still very thin) everyone has pretty much the standard body type.
For my FE13 re/designs in general (I did one for sully a while back but I might redo that one again) I tend to keep the designs somewhat consistent with the overall class designs, so it’s not a huge change. I want them to look like they actually could be like that in game, and for FE13 the character designs follow class designs with a few variations, so I did that.
What I did:
-Gave Kjelle a lot more bulk to fit her heavy-armor-wearing, training-all-the-time, super-strong status. Also in text descriptions of being muscular and all.
-Got rid of the boobplate. Peg knights having it is bad enough, now knights too? And it really doesn’t fit Kjelle, in particular. No warrior who takes themselves seriously (aka very much Kjelle) is going to wear boobplate. Aka armor that’s gonna get you killed.
-There’s a nice little motif on her armor, but it’s only on the torso. Took that, and repeated it across her design for better cohesion.
-You can pretend the clamshell rocket pauldrons are there but I couldn’t bring myself to draw those. Also I wanted to draw her deltoids under the spandex or whatever tight-fitting clothes under that still grants mobility.
-lol my shitty shield

Well, now that voting’s over and I actually got into finalists *gasp*, time to put it on this blog.
